Delta Potters is made up of a group of local artisans and nascent potters who create functional and artistic pots while learning new skills in a co-operative environment. We come together as individuals from diverse backgrounds and operate from the premise that we will offer help to one another, share ideas, learn new skills in the craft of pottery, and support the ongoing success of our guild. We began as a non-profit organization in 1972.

THANKYOU!

A big DPA thanks to everyone who came out to our sale. We appreciate your support!

Delta Potters Supporting the GOGOs

Delta Potters recently donated several pots to assist the South Fraser GOGOs with their fundraising efforst in support of the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.

We have previously donated to the Vancouver goup, and have supported Project Empty Bowl.

The South Fraser Gogos is one of the initial 5 groups which started in 2006 in support of the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign in association with the Stephen Lewis Foundation. They have been active in the Ladner and South Delta area continuously since then. It is members of this group who in 2006 designed, created and introduce the signature “Gogo” tote bags which you may have seen in the community. They are now being made and used in fundraising by Gogo groups all across Canada.

Over the years the SF Gogos group like all other volunteer groups have fluctuated in the size of membership from the original 8 members to as much as 45 and is now just a group of 12. They continue to raise funds and awareness of of the needs in 15 African countries where The Stephen Lewis Foundation supports projects.
